Responsibilities Diagnose and repair automotive electrical systems using advanced diagnostic tools and schematics, including wiring diagrams and system layouts. Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to accurately identify electrical faults within vehicle systems such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), powertrain, transmission, suspension, and lighting. Utilize automotive diagnostic tools to perform comprehensive system scans, troubleshoot issues, and verify repairs efficiently. Repair or replace electrical components such as sensors, switches, wiring harnesses, modules, and control units to restore vehicle functionality. Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks including alignment, vehicle suspension system repair, transmission system repair, diesel engine repairs, and general automotive service. Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality repairs while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Maintain detailed service records and complete auto estimating procedures for accurate billing and documentation. Qualifications Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive electrical systems. Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools and software for troubleshooting complex electrical issues. Mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmissions, vehicle suspension systems, and diesel engines. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools necessary for repairs. Experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Ability to perform vehicle alignment procedures accurately and efficiently. Knowledge of automotive wiring diagram interpretation and electrical troubleshooting techniques is essential. Valid mechanic experience with a focus on automotive electrical systems is highly desirable.
