Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of ten years of hands-on experience in automotive repair and diagnostics. Candidates with technician trade school education and ASE certification are preferred. References demonstrating a proven track record of excellence in automotive service are essential. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive diagnostics on various vehicle systems. Perform repairs and maintenance on diesel engines, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues efficiently using diagnostic tools and equipment. Repair or replace faulty components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other vehicle parts. Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and diagnostic findings for each vehicle serviced. Collaborate with team members to ensure quality standards are met and customer satisfaction is achieved. Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques through ongoing training and professional development. Skills Extensive experience in automotive diagnostics with at least ten years of relevant work history. Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including electrical, mechanical, and electronic components. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software used in modern vehicle repair. Technician trade school education; ASE certification is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues accurately. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for maintaining accurate service records. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
