Good with people? Ready to learn a career with room to grow? FTD Auto is hiring two Automotive Service Trainees to learn how a busy, full-service repair shop operates. We're looking for friendly, dependable people with some basic car knowledge who take initiative, accept coaching, and enjoy helping others. Previous automotive employment is not required. You bring a positive attitude, an interest in cars, and a willingness to learn. We'll provide hands-on training in our shop's processes. What You'll Do When You Start You'll begin by helping with the daily tasks that keep customers taken care of and vehicles moving through the shop, including: Providing customer shuttles and moving vehicles safely. Greeting customers and helping check in their vehicles. Recording customer concerns and taking vehicle check-in photos. Answering phones, helping schedule appointments, and learning our customer communication process. Supporting service advisors and technicians with daily tasks. Keeping vehicles, keys, and work areas organized. This is an active position that involves customer interaction, driving, and working throughout the shop. You'll need to stay organized, follow instructions, and move between tasks as priorities change. What You'll Learn As you demonstrate consistency and master the basics, your training will expand to include: Our vehicle inspection process and how to document findings. How to organize repair recommendations and prepare estimates. How to explain vehicle needs clearly to customers. How parts, approvals, and repair scheduling fit together. Our standards for communication, quality control, and customer service. Where This Can Lead You don't need to choose your long-term automotive path before you apply. Who We're Looking For Friendly and comfortable speaking with customers and coworkers. Dependable, punctual, and ready to work. Basic automotive knowledge and a genuine interest in learning more. Able to follow a process, take feedback, and apply what you learn. Willing to ask questions and take ownership of assigned tasks. Comfortable using computers and learning shop software. Able to stay professional when a customer is frustrated or says no. A valid driver's license and the ability to drive customer vehicles safely. Experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, vehicle detailing, or automotive classes is welcome.

Pay and Opportunity Starting pay:

$600-$750 per week , based on relevant skills and experience. Full-time, in-person employment in Bartlett, Illinois. Paid, hands-on training.
