Nature's Perspective Landscaping is seeking a skilled Small Engine and Truck Mechanic to maintain and repair the small engines, power equipment and fleet vehicles that support our landscaping operations. This is a full-time, in-person position based in Evanston, Illinois, working Monday through Friday with weekends as needed. Why Join Nature's Perspective Landscaping? What You'll Do Perform routine maintenance and repairs on small engines and power tools used in landscaping operations. Diagnose mechanical issues, troubleshoot equipment failures and use schematics to understand engine systems and components. Inspect and repair company vehicles and skid loaders, including gas and diesel equipment. Maintain parts and tool inventory and assist in training staff on proper equipment usage and safety protocols. What We're Looking For Proven experience as a Small Engine and Vehicle Mechanic or in a similar role. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics. Familiarity with power tools and their maintenance requirements. Experience inspecting and repairing gas and diesel vehicles and skid loaders. Ability to lift heavy equipment as needed for repairs. Strong troubleshooting, organization and parts-inventory skills. Customer service and communication skills to interact positively with team members.
