Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Gas & Diesel Mechanic to help maintain and repair our company trucks and tree care equipment. This person will be responsible for keeping our fleet on a regular preventive maintenance schedule, diagnosing mechanical issues, and completing repairs efficiently so our trucks and equipment remain safe, reliable, and ready for the next workday. This position may be part-time for someone focused on maintenance and repairs or full-time for a qualified mechanic who also has a CDL and can drive, or is willing to learn to drive, a grapple truck. Primary Responsibilities Perform routine preventive maintenance on gas and diesel trucks and equipment Create and maintain a regular maintenance schedule for the company fleet Diagnose mechanical problems and complete minor to moderate repairs Perform oil changes, brake repairs, tire-related maintenance, and other general service work Diagnose and repair basic electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues Address unexpected repairs promptly so trucks and equipment are ready for the following workday Complete light fabrication and basic welding using MIG, TIG, and stick welding Monitor the condition of trucks and equipment and identify potential problems before they result in breakdowns Maintain accurate service and repair records Keep tools, parts, and the maintenance area clean and organized Part-Time Position The part-time position will focus on the maintenance, repair, welding, and fabrication responsibilities listed above.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, approximately 5:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m.

Paid vacation Paid holidays Full-Time Position The full-time position will include all the maintenance, repair, welding, and fabrication responsibilities listed above. It will also include driving a grapple truck to pick up logs. Candidates must already have a valid CDL. Previous grapple truck experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train a qualified CDL driver who is interested in learning.

Monday through Friday, approximately 2:30 p.m.-11:00 p.m.
