Job Description
Only considering applicants with minimum five years experience We are seeking a skilled and dependable Landscape Mechanic to support our growing fleet of landscape construction and maintenance equipment. This role is specifically focused on servicing equipment used in the landscape industry, including diesel-powered machines, compact equipment, and trucks. Key Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on: Skid steers and compact equipment Diesel and gas engines Trucks, trailers, and fleet vehicles Landscape equipment (mowers, blowers, compactors, etc.) Additional responsibilities include: Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, suspension, HVAC, and air brake systems Perform certified DOT commercial vehicle inspections Perform welding and fabrication repairs as needed Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records Ensure equipment is safe, reliable, and job-ready Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment Manage repair priorities and work independently. Summary As a Landscape Mechanic, you will be essential in maintaining and repairing a diverse range of vehicles and heavy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Reporting to the Superintendent, you will utilize your core skills in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and vehicle maintenance to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Your premium skills in heavy equipment operation and fabrication will enhance our fleet's efficiency. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of mechanical experience required Experience working on diesel engines required Welding experience required Strong diagnostic and mechanical troubleshooting skills Experience servicing trucks, heavy equipment, and fleet vehicles Knowledge of hydraulics, suspension, air brake, and electrical systems Experience with skid steers and compact equipment preferred Valid driver's license required Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
