Full-Time D-Patrick is looking for an experienced Service Technician to join our team. You'll work in a modern, well-equipped service center with competitive pay, strong benefits, and a supportive workplace culture. As a D-Patrick Service Technician, you will perform vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Receives repair orders from dispatcher and performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards. Verifies, diagnosis and estimates repair work to be performed. Examines vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required and advise service advisor. Documents work performed (input story in computer) and keep service advisors informed of status of vehicle. Responsible for completing all documentation to meet manufacture specifications. Road-tests vehicles when required and to quality check work performed. Supervises any apprentice technicians as assigned. Attend factory-sponsored training classes and keep abreast of manufacture updates and technical bulletins. Ensure that customers' cars are kept clean and returned in the condition received. Keeps shop area neat and clean and be able to account for all dealership owned tools at all times. Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts. Saves and tags parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by customer. Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as disposal of hazardous waste and OSHA safety rules. Requires being at work on time and have satisfactory attendance. Any other duties assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

General mechanical skills and basic computer knowledge. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, perform duties with little or no supervision, and possess basic math skills. Honest, ethical, dependable, positive attitude, and a strong team player. Excellent listening skills, ability to follow directions, and ability to work well with others. EDUCATION and/or

EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or the equivalent. Two years of technical training or four or more years of related experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Frequently required to stand for most of the workday; regularly required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Regularly reach with hands and arms; frequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel tools and equipment. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Required to talk, hear, or smell while performing duties. Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, hazardous and non-hazardous materials, and risk of electrical shock.
