About VacSource LLC VacSource LLC specializes in sourcing, reconditioning, and delivering high-quality vacuum trucks and industrial equipment to customers across North America. Our focus is on building reliable, field-ready equipment through disciplined inspection, repair, and upfitting processes.

As our operation continues to grow, we are seeking a skilled technician to support vacuum truck diagnostics, repairs, and equipment upfitting. This role offers the opportunity to work on specialized industrial equipment while contributing to a high-performance service team. Position Overview The Heavy Equipment Reconditioning Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and installing vacuum truck systems and related components. This role includes working with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and diesel systems while supporting equipment inspections, rebuilds, and module installations. The ideal candidate is mechanically strong, detail-oriented, and comfortable working on complex industrial equipment. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair vacuum truck module hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems Troubleshoot and repair basic diesel engine and chassis systems Install and upfit vacuum modules onto truck chassis Mount tanks, pumps, blowers, hydraulic systems, and related components Perform hydraulic plumbing, air system installation, and electrical integration Fabricate brackets, mounts, and supports as needed Conduct equipment inspections and document findings for work order generation Perform preventative maintenance on vacuum trucks and heavy equipment Conduct quality checks and operational testing prior to delivery Maintain shop tools and equipment in safe working condition Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards Qualifications Experience working on heavy-duty diesel equipment or industrial machinery Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems Experience troubleshooting complex mechanical systems Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings Fabrication or welding experience (MIG preferred) is a plus Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a shop environment Valid driver's license (CDL a plus but not required) Technical training or diesel technology certification preferred but not required What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Stable and growing company environment Hands-on work with specialized industrial equipment Opportunities to expand technical skills and experience Team-oriented shop environment focused on quality workmanship Why Join VacSource?
