Our client in Jeffersonville is seeking a dedicated and skilled Upfitter Associate to join their team. Position Summary:

As an Upfitter Associate, you will customize vehicles to meet specific customer needs. Your responsibilities include installing various bodies and equipment, ensuring proper functionality, and adhering to safety and regulatory standards. You will work closely with customers to determine the best upfit options, manage the installation process, and perform quality checks to ensure everything is in order before the vehicle is delivered.

Essential Duties and Requirements:

Customize vehicles to meet specific customer requirements. Troubleshoot electrical systems such as wiring harnesses, sensors, and ignition systems. Replace faulty parts and components to restore vehicle functionality. Ensure proper functionality and adherence to safety standards. Work closely with customers to determine the best upfit options. Manage the installation process. Perform quality checks before vehicle delivery. Maintain cleanliness of the shop when needed.

Customer Service Requirements:

Ability to closely communicate and relay customer requirements, ensuring precise customizations. Ability to maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with customers and team members. Ability to quickly respond to customer inquiries and updates on their vehicles. Provide customers with accurate information about the Upfitting process.

Skills:

Proper mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand various installation processes of various vehicle bodies. Automotive wiring knowledge to ensure the safety, functionality, and efficiency of a vehicle's electrical systems. Ability to demonstrate proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for various tasks. Ability to adhere to safety standards and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree in a relevant field preferred (automotive, electrical, or engineering).

Experience:

1-2 years of Upfitting/Preventative Maintenance. Previous experience working with customers in a retail/shop environment.

Physical Requirements:

Must have the physical ability to perform assigned duties safely and efficiently. Good eyesight for detecting differences in textures and colors. Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.

Schedule/Pay:

M-Fri 7:00 am-4:30 pm 22-25$/hr based on experience.

Pay:

$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
