Seeking a highly motivated self-starter who possesses knowledge and skill in the maintenance and repair of school buses, vans and all other corporation vehicles.
General Description of Position Duties:
Serves as a Mechanic in the Transportation Department. Working knowledge of gas and diesel engine repair. Required to have a valid CDL or willingness to obtain. Maintain a high standard of safety. Performs such other job related duties as may be assigned by the Director of Transportation. Hours will be 8:00a.m.- 5:00p.m. with possible overtime on an as needed basis.
Special Skills, Training or Aptitudes Required or Desired:
Working knowledge of gas and diesel engine repair. Electrical, brake & cooling systems.

This position requires a high level of physical and mental endurance. Frequent standing, particularly for sustained periods of time. Frequent walking, moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one part of the building to another. Constantly talking, expressing, or exchanging ideas to colleagues. Ability to hear and listen to detailed information through oral communication. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and distance vision. Ability to handle and balance multiple demands at the same time.
