In this role, you will be responsible for safely disassembling vehicles, accurately cataloging parts, and preparing components for resale or recycling. Your expertise will contribute to our commitment to sustainable automotive practices and excellent customer service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of vehicle makes and models, including GM vehicles, while honing your mechanical skills in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Dismantle vehicles efficiently and safely using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools Remove and catalog vehicle parts such as engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and body components with precision Use schematics and diagnostic information to identify parts for removal or repair, ensuring accuracy and quality control Maintain detailed records of dismantled parts, including serial numbers and condition reports Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks such as wheel alignments, powertrain repairs, diesel engine servicing, and electrical system troubleshooting Follow safety protocols when working with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), vehicle electronics, and welding equipment Support the recycling process by properly disposing of non-salvageable materials and hazardous substances Skills Proven dealership or automotive dismantling experience with a strong mechanical background Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostics tools Experience working on GM vehicles or similar makes is preferred Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive repair machinery Familiarity with ADAS technology and vehicle alignment procedures Ability to perform diesel engine repairs and general automotive maintenance tasks Strong understanding of automotive service standards, auto body repair techniques, and powertrain components Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and customers when needed Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in automotive repair environments Join us to be part of a dedicated team that values safety, precision, and sustainability.
