Position Overview As an Automotive Technician, you will diagnose, service, and repair a variety of domestic and imported vehicles in a professional shop environment. You will work closely with service advisors and fellow technicians to ensure repairs are completed accurately and efficiently. Success in this role requires technical expertise, clear communication, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive inspections on domestic and imported vehicles and complete detailed Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVIs) that promote transparency and customer confidence Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns accurately using modern tools, equipment, and repair information Document all inspection findings, diagnostic results, maintenance needs, and completed repairs in the shop management system Communicate findings and repair recommendations clearly to service advisors, identifying what is operating properly, what requires attention, and what is urgent Complete approved repairs accurately and efficiently using quality parts to ensure every vehicle is safe, reliable, and ready for delivery Monitor parts orders, verify that parts are correct upon arrival, and manage core returns when necessary Maintain complete repair documentation using the Concern, Cause, and Correction (CCC) format Provide timely updates regarding diagnostic progress, parts needs, repair status, and expected completion times Follow established quality-control procedures and verify that all repairs are completed correctly Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and professional work area Collaborate with technicians, service advisors, and leadership to support a positive and productive team environment Qualifications At least five years of professional automotive repair experience ; relevant automotive education or technical training may also be considered Experience diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a variety of domestic, European, and Asian vehicles Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and drivability systems High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record ASE certifications are preferred and encouraged but not required Ability to work accurately and efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards Strong communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills Dependable work ethic, attention to detail, and a customer-first mindset What We Offer A supportive leadership team focused on your growth and success A respectful, positive, and collaborative work environment Ethical, transparent workplace practices Career advancement opportunities and performance-based incentives Realistic and attainable bonus structures Benefits & Perks Work in modern, multi-million-dollar facilities equipped with cutting-edge tools and technology Company-paid 75% of health insurance premiums after 30 days Paid time off (PTO) Closed every weekend - enjoy work-life balance Tenure-based promotions and long-term career incentives Join Our Team If you're an experienced automotive technician ready to take the next step in your career, join Integrity 1st Car Pros as we bring our trusted approach to automotive repair to Kansas City.
