Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components. Conduct oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle maintenance to ensure optimal performance. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy equipment mechanics techniques to execute repairs efficiently. Work with automotive service manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex problems on GM vehicles and other makes. Repair ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features such as lane departure warnings and collision avoidance systems. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction with the work performed. Requirements Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with a strong background in dealership or independent shop settings. Demonstrated knowledge of automotive electrical systems, mechanical repair techniques, and diagnostic procedures. Familiarity with schematics, automotive diagnostics tools, and repair manuals is essential. Experience repairing diesel engines and heavy equipment mechanics is highly desirable. Ability to perform transmission repairs, alignments, brake repairs, suspension system repairs including shocks & struts. Skilled in vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and auto body repairs. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by proficiency with hand tools and power tools required for various repairs. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Valid certification or experience in ADAS systems repair is a plus; dealership experience preferred but not mandatory.
