We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fleet Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate possess a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair, with experience working on various types of vehicles and equipment. As a Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role requires a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles, including inspections, oil changes, brake services, and tire rotations. Utilize automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues and troubleshoot mechanical problems effectively. Work with Caterpillar equipment and other heavy machinery as needed. Use hand tools and power tools to assemble, weld, fabricate, and align components according to specifications. Read and interpret schematics to understand vehicle systems and components. Repair or replace shocks, struts, and other suspension components to ensure vehicle stability and safety. Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and parts used for inventory management purposes. Collaborate with other mechanics and staff to ensure timely completion of repairs while adhering to safety standards. Qualifications Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar role within the automotive industry. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics techniques and repair processes. Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment is a plus. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. Valid driver's license is required; additional certifications are a plus.
