Overview Join our dynamic team as a Medium and Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining fleet, owner-operated, and commercial vehicles! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will keep our operations running smoothly, supporting transportation efficiency and safety standards. We are looking for motivated professionals who thrive on hands-on work, problem-solving, and delivering high-quality vehicle maintenance. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on medium and heavy-duty trucks, including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and service vehicles. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to identify issues before they escalate.

Repair and service mechanical systems such as transmissions, suspensions, brakes, hydraulics, air brake systems, shocks & struts, and steering components. Utilize schematics, automotive electrical systems repair techniques, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex vehicle problems efficiently. Fabricate parts or modify equipment using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair needs. Maintain heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, and industrial equipment to ensure operational readiness. Perform vehicle alignment, and suspension repairs and adjustments to optimize vehicle handling and safety. Operate heavy equipment safely during repairs or testing procedures while adhering to safety protocols. Complete detailed service reports, maintenance logs, and inspection documentation accurately for each job performed. Experience Proven experience working as a mechanic in a dealership or heavy-duty truck repair environment is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, HVAC systems, automotive electrical systems, and vehicle systems diagnostics. Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation such as excavators or cranes is advantageous. Familiarity with schematics for electrical wiring diagrams and hydraulic systems is essential for troubleshooting complex issues. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication materials effectively. Knowledge of automotive repair standards for truck drivers' vehicles including brake repair, alignment services, shocks & struts replacement. Experience working with farm machinery or industrial equipment is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely in various repair scenarios. Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 45.0 per week
