Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools and schematics to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues across various vehicle systems. Repair and maintain powertrain components, including engines, transmissions, and drive systems, ensuring vehicles operate smoothly and efficiently. Conduct vehicle suspension system repairs, wheel alignments, and steering system diagnostics to optimize handling and safety. Interpret automotive wiring diagrams accurately to troubleshoot electrical issues within vehicle electrical systems and ADAS components. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools to execute repairs with precision. Service vehicles according to manufacturer specifications, including diesel engine repairs and general maintenance tasks. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Experience Proven dealership experience or extensive service technician background in automotive repair is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, schematics interpretation, and electrical systems troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with vehicle transmission system repair, vehicle suspension system repair, alignment procedures, and vehicle maintenance routines. Familiarity with automotive wiring diagrams, ADAS calibration procedures, and auto estimating software is advantageous. Mechanical knowledge complemented by proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair tools. Experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus but not required. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
