Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Automotive Technician to join our team and drive excellence in vehicle repair and maintenance. As a leader in our service department, you will oversee technical operations, mentor junior technicians, and ensure the highest standards of automotive diagnostics, repair, and customer service. Your expertise will help deliver reliable, efficient, and safe vehicle solutions for our diverse clientele. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a skilled team while working with the latest automotive technology in a fast-paced environment. Duties Lead and coordinate automotive repair activities, ensuring timely and accurate diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of vehicle makes and models. Supervise and mentor technicians, providing technical guidance on complex repairs involving engine systems, electrical wiring diagrams, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and powertrain components. Utilize automotive diagnostic tools and schematics to identify issues related to engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and vehicle systems efficiently. Perform or oversee repairs on diesel engines, engine technology components, alignments, and auto body repairs as needed. Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot electrical issues accurately while maintaining compliance with safety standards. Ensure proper vehicle maintenance procedures are followed, including heavy lifting techniques, manual handling safety protocols, and use of power tools. Maintain detailed records of all repairs performed, including diagnostics, parts used, and procedures followed to ensure quality control and customer satisfaction. Qualifications Proven dealership experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance. Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, engine repair, powertrain components, ADAS technologies, and vehicle systems diagnostics. Skilled in using automotive diagnostic tools, schematics interpretation, hand tools, power tools, and other mechanical repair equipment. Experience working with GM vehicles or similar brands is preferred but not required. Ability to interpret automotive wiring diagrams accurately and perform complex mechanical repairs confidently. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and maintenance needs. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and work in various positions for extended periods safely.
