Automotive Technician / Mechanic Prestige Auto Group - Westport, MA /

East Providence, RI Job Type:

Full-time Prestige Auto Group is looking for experienced Automotive Technicians / Mechanics to join our service teams in Westport, MA and East Providence, RI . We are looking for reliable, motivated technicians who are comfortable performing general automotive repair and maintenance on a wide variety of vehicles. We are looking for solid, dependable technicians who can diagnose common issues, complete repairs efficiently and take pride in doing quality work. Responsibilities Perform general automotive maintenance and repairs Diagnose common mechanical and electrical issues Perform oil changes, fluid services, brake repairs, suspension work, tune-ups and other routine maintenance Inspect vehicles and identify needed repairs or maintenance Repair or replace worn, damaged or malfunctioning components Use diagnostic equipment and standard shop tools as needed Accurately document completed work and recommended repairs Work with Service Advisors and other technicians to keep repairs moving efficiently Maintain a clean and safe work area Follow all dealership and shop safety procedures Requirements Previous professional automotive repair experience required Strong understanding of general automotive mechanical systems Ability to perform routine maintenance and common repairs independently Familiarity with automotive diagnostic equipment Ability to safely operate lifts, power tools and other shop equipment Valid driver's license Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic Ability to work well as part of a team Must provide and maintain basic personal automotive tools ASE certifications are a plus, but are not required.
