Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented State Inspector to uphold safety, compliance, and quality standards across automotive operations within the state. Duties Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles to verify compliance with state safety and emissions regulations Assess vehicle conditions, including mechanical systems, electrical components, tires, and body integrity Perform automotive tire changes and basic repairs using hand tools and power tools Identify mechanical issues and recommend appropriate repairs or maintenance actions Document inspection findings accurately and prepare detailed reports for clients or regulatory agencies Assist customers with vehicle-related inquiries, providing clear explanations of inspection results and necessary repairs Support auto estimating processes by evaluating damages and estimating repair costs for insurance or service purposes Skills Proficiency in standard passenger car operation and familiarity with various vehicle types Strong mechanical knowledge covering automotive systems such as electrical, body, tires, and general repairs Hands-on experience with automotive tire change, vehicle maintenance, and mechanical systems repair Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively Knowledge of automotive parts, accessories, auto body repair techniques, and auto restoration processes Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly Experience in auto estimating, vehicle inspections, automotive repair, and auto service procedures Physical capability for heavy lifting and performing inspections in diverse environments Mechanic experience is highly desirable to enhance diagnostic accuracy and repair assessments Join us as a State Inspector to ensure vehicles meet safety standards while providing exceptional service.
