• we trust skilled technicians to do their job Respectful, professional, drama-free work environment What You'll Do Perform advanced diagnostics (electrical, drivability, warning lights, network/CAN systems) Accurately diagnose issues — not just replace parts Complete repairs including suspension, brakes, maintenance, fluid services, and more Perform Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVIs) with clear documentation Document diagnostic findings and repair recommendations thoroughly Work closely with a professional service advisor team Utilize modern tools and software (scan tools, DVIs, shop management systems) Maintain a clean, organized workspace and high professional standards What We're Looking For 5+ years of hands-on automotive repair experience Strong diagnostic ability (electrical, drivability, CAN/network systems) Ability to diagnose efficiently and accurately — not guess or "parts swap" Pride in your work and a team-first attitude Experience with digital inspections and modern shop workflow Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills Self-motivated and dependable ASE, OEM, or EV/Hybrid certifications are a plus Not the Right Fit If You Need constant supervision Avoid diagnostic work or are still learning the basics Struggle to stay productive in a consistent workflow environment Prefer to "clock in and coast" Are not interested in improving your skills or growing professionally Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record High school diploma or equivalent 5+ years of automotive experience with diagnostic capability Technical or vocational training preferred (not required) About Charlie & Ray's Auto Repair Charlie & Ray's Auto Repair is a respected, locally owned independent shop known for honest service, high-quality work, and strong customer relationships .
