Full-time, Monday through Saturday; Sundays off Job Description We are an established automotive repair shop in Parkville seeking a dependable and highly experienced automotive mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic and repair abilities, be comfortable working on various makes and models, and be capable of completing assigned work independently, accurately and efficiently. Compensation and Benefits Guaranteed compensation of $1,200-$1,500 per week, based on experience, certifications and diagnostic ability Paid biweekly Sundays off Five paid vacation days annually after completing six months of employment Designated major holidays paid Earned sick and safe leave provided in accordance with Maryland law Performance and compensation review after 90 days Stable, full-time work in an established repair shop Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems. Perform engine, brake, steering and suspension repairs. Complete oil changes, tune-ups and scheduled maintenance. Diagnose check-engine lights and other warning indicators. Repair cooling, exhaust and air-conditioning systems. Inspect vehicles and identify necessary repairs. Complete repairs accurately and within a reasonable timeframe. Document completed repairs and communicate findings to management. Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area. Qualifications Minimum of five years of professional automotive repair experience. Strong mechanical, electrical and diagnostic abilities. Ability to diagnose and complete repairs independently. Experience working on domestic, Asian and European vehicles is preferred. Must be dependable, punctual and detail-oriented. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. ASE certification is preferred but not required. Maryland State Inspection certification is a plus. Must own the hand tools, power tools, scan tools and diagnostic equipment necessary to complete assigned repairs.

A designated service bay and workspace Vehicle lift Air compressor and shop air Oil-draining equipment General shop supplies The mechanic is responsible for providing their own personal tools, scan tools and diagnostic equipment. Work Schedule This is a full-time position, Monday through Saturday, with Sundays off. Exact daily working hours will be discussed during the interview.
