Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive electrical systems and schematics to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components. Execute routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to maintain optimal performance. Repair and replace diesel engines and heavy equipment components, demonstrating expertise in diesel mechanics and air brake systems. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service tools to complete repairs efficiently and safely. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues on GM vehicles and other makes. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair needs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Skills Experience with a strong foundation in automotive diagnostics and repair. Expertise in ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), auto electrical systems, and vehicle alignment techniques. Skilled in transmission repair, automotive suspension system repair, brake repair, shocks & struts replacement, and wheel/tire service. Knowledge of diesel engine repair, powertrain components, heavy equipment mechanics, and auto body repair is highly desirable. Familiarity with schematics reading, automotive electrical troubleshooting, welding techniques, and auto estimating software. Mechanical knowledge complemented by experience working in the automotive repair industry with a focus on quality workmanship. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in vehicle maintenance and mechanical repairs.
