Pay & Compensation Here at Midas of Eldersburg, the employee can earn $700 guaranteed per week OR 15% of your total parts and labor sales for the week (except tires) - which ever is greater. Your weekly compensation is calculated at the end of each week, giving you the opportunity to earn more based on your productivity and the work you produce. Earn additional monthly bonuses based on productivity and overall shop performance. Bonus amounts and eligibility will be discussed during the interview and may vary based on individual. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools and interpret automotive wiring diagrams to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmission, suspension, electrical systems, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and suspension system repairs to ensure peak vehicle performance. Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for repairs and installations while adhering to safety standards. Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems on GM vehicles and other makes. Repair diesel engines, transmissions, and vehicle systems with precision and attention to detail. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Skills Proven dealership experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair. Deep understanding of automotive schematics, wiring diagrams, and vehicle electrical systems. Mechanical knowledge across various vehicle components including powertrain, transmission systems, suspension systems, and vehicle systems. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, alignment equipment, and auto estimating software. Ability to interpret automotive wiring diagrams accurately for electrical repairs. Service technician experience with a focus on maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of complex vehicle issues. Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about their vehicle needs.
