We are seeking a skilled and motivated B-Level Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience performing routine maintenance, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs on a variety of domestic and/or import vehicles. The B-Level Technician works independently on common repairs and maintenance while knowing when to seek assistance from a senior technician or shop foreman on more complex diagnostic or repair issues. The successful candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Essential Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, brake services, tire services, fluid services, and vehicle inspections. Diagnose and repair common mechanical and electrical problems. Perform brake, suspension, steering, exhaust, cooling system, and drivetrain repairs. Conduct basic diagnostic testing using scan tools and other diagnostic equipment. Perform vehicle inspections and accurately document recommended repairs. Follow manufacturer repair procedures and industry-standard practices. Use shop equipment, hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and properly. Identify additional maintenance or repair needs and communicate findings to the service advisor or shop management. Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality. Perform road tests when appropriate to verify repairs. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety policies and OSHA/shop safety requirements. Assist senior technicians with more complex repairs and continue developing diagnostic and technical skills. Qualifications 2-5 years of professional automotive repair experience preferred. Strong understanding of automotive mechanical systems. Ability to perform common maintenance and repair procedures with limited supervision. Basic to intermediate diagnostic skills. Ability to use automotive scan tools and diagnostic equipment. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Own basic hand tools appropriate for the position. ASE certifications are preferred but not required. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Skills and Competencies Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
