Job Description
RVI Motorsports is looking for a mechanically inclined person to join our shop working on trailers, truck accessories, lighting, plows, truck beds, and other equipment . This is not a typical automotive mechanic position. You won't spend every day doing the same engine, transmission, or maintenance work. Our technicians work on a wide variety of projects, from light annual trailer services to installing truck lighting, swapping trailer wheels, accessories, and custom beds. Experience is helpful, but you do not need to come from a trailer shop. Automotive, equipment repair, small engine, welding/fabrication, electrical, hydraulic, or similar hands-on experience can all translate well to this position. We are willing to train the right mechanically inclined candidate and tools are included. What You'll Work On Utility, boat, snowmobile, dump, tilt, contractor, and deck-over trailers Trailer brakes, bearings, wiring, lighting, couplers, jacks, suspension, and related components 12V truck and trailer electrical systems Truck lighting and accessory packages Plow packages and related equipment Truck beds and other aftermarket equipment What We're Looking For Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving ability Comfortable using hand and power tools Ability to diagnose problems and complete quality repairs Experience with automotive, trailers, equipment, electrical, hydraulics, welding, fabrication, or similar work is a plus but not required Dependable and able to work independently as well as with the rest of the shop Ability to safely lift and handle parts and equipment as required We do not require you to already be an expert in every system we work on. If you have any mechanical knowledge and are willing to learn, we want to hear from you. What We Offer $20.00 to $25.00 per hour, based on experience Full-time, 40-hour workweek 8-hour shifts Health insurance Paid time off Indoor shop Vehicle lift Variety of work instead of repetitive automotive repair RVI Motorsports is located in West Bath, Maine and serves customers throughout the Midcoast area.
