Duties Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, and structural alignment using specialized hand tools and power tools. Conduct welding repairs utilizing MIG welding techniques, automotive welding equipment, and soldering to restore vehicle frames and panels. Fabricate custom parts or repairs using fabrication techniques, working with sheet metal and automotive parts installation. Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding surfaces with sanding tools and applying automotive cosmetic repair techniques. Handle heavy lifting safely while performing repairs that require strength and precision. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained. Experience Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or in a similar role within a dealership or independent shop. Hands-on expertise with auto body repair, auto painting, auto restoration, and cosmetic repairs. Skilled in MIG welding, welding repair, soldering, fabrication techniques, and the use of automotive welding equipment. Familiarity with working on sheet metal, automotive structural components, and performing auto glass installation. Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems to support comprehensive repairs beyond bodywork. Experience using hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and other workshop equipment efficiently. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex repairs. $60,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
