Job Description

Auto Service Receptionist /
Service Advisor Job Responsibilities:
Greet customers in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner Provide excellent customer service and help create a positive experience from the moment customers walk in or call Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers with questions, appointments, and service needs Schedule service appointments and communicate with customers regarding their vehicle Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document requested repairs or services Create and update repair orders Communicate between customers, service technicians, and management Provide customers with updates on vehicle repairs and estimated completion times Explain recommended repairs and services in a clear, easy-to-understand manner Review estimates, invoices, and completed work with customers Contact customers for repair authorizations when necessary Process customer payments and complete basic front-desk transactions Maintain organized customer records, service paperwork, and appointment schedules Follow up with customers regarding service and customer satisfaction Keep the front office and customer waiting area clean, organized, and welcoming Assist with other office and customer-service duties as needed
Qualifications & Skills:
Must be personable, outgoing, and comfortable working with people Friendly and professional attitude with strong customer-service skills Ability to make customers feel comfortable and welcome Strong verbal and written communication skills Good listening skills and patience when working with customers Dependable, punctual, and professional Organized and able to handle multiple tasks in a busy automotive shop Comfortable answering phones and communicating with customers throughout the day Basic computer and data-entry skills Ability to work well with technicians, management, and other team members Automotive knowledge is helpful, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are especially important Previous receptionist, customer service, automotive, or service advisor experience is a plus
Job Requirements:
Exemplary customer service skills are a must 1-2 year of previous Service Advisor experience preferred Automotive knowledge is a plus
