This 20 year old motorsport company is located just outside of beautiful Traverse City, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, repairing, and optimizing race vehicles to ensure peak performance. Your expertise will help push the boundaries of automotive technology and deliver exceptional results in a fast-paced, adrenaline-fueled environment. This year round, full time position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in motorsport engineering and vehicle maintenance. Sign on bonus available to qualified candidates. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on race cars, including engine systems, powertrain components, and electrical systems using advanced automotive diagnostic tools. Conduct routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks to ensure optimal performance. Repair and overhaul engines, including diesel engines, utilizing schematics and automotive wiring diagrams for precise troubleshooting. Execute wheel alignments, suspension adjustments, and vehicle system calibrations to meet strict racing standards. Use power tools and hand tools effectively for mechanical repairs, welding, heavy lifting, and manual handling tasks. Interpret complex schematics and electrical diagrams to diagnose issues within automotive electrical systems accurately. Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and modifications while adhering to safety protocols at all times. Skills Proven 5 plus years motorsport experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance. Mechanical knowledge is a must, welding, suspension, electrical or motorsports experience is a bonus. Proficiency with automotive diagnostics equipment and understanding of vehicle systems such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and wiring diagrams. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards. Excellent customer service skills combined with a proactive attitude toward vehicle care and team collaboration. Ability to travel up to 35% of the time required.
