In this energetic role, you'll provide exceptional customer service by guiding clients through vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance needs. Duties Greet customers warmly, listen carefully to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document their needs. Explain repair and maintenance procedures clearly, providing detailed estimates using estimating software. Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, and transmission diagnostics to enhance customer satisfaction and shop profitability. Coordinate with mechanics to prioritize repairs, ensuring timely completion of services like diesel engine repair, collision repair assessments, or air brake inspections. Write detailed service reports and work orders that include mechanical diagnoses, recommended repairs, and cost estimates. Communicate effectively with clients about vehicle status updates and explain necessary repairs in an understandable manner. Manage cash handling processes accurately during payment transactions while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times. Experience Proven dealership or auto service center experience as a Service Advisor or similar role. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics, repair procedures, and vehicle maintenance. Familiarity with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools. Knowledge of automotive systems including transmissions, shocks & struts, brakes, air brakes, alignment, suspension components, tire service, diesel engines, and oil changes. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Experience in auto body repair or collision repair processes is a plus.
