Molding presses hum, robotic arms glide, and automated handling systems deliver parts right on cue. You bring the cell online, confirm molding parameters, and run first-article checks using calipers, gauges, and templates. Throughout the shift, you remove finished parts, trim soft-trim components, complete secondary operations, and record production counts and inspection results—keeping safety, quality, and efficiency at the forefront. What You'll Tackle Operate, observe, and fine-tune plastic injection molding machines and automated soft-trim equipment to meet part specifications and customer/automotive standards. Execute start-ups and shutdowns; make basic machine adjustments to sustain stable production. Remove molded parts, perform trimming and secondary operations with finesse for soft-trim components. Conduct visual and dimensional checks using calipers, gauges, and templates, documenting findings accurately. Maintain precise production counts and inspection records. Apply strict safety practices, including PPE usage and lockout/tagout procedures. Keep your area clean and orderly using 5S principles; clear minor jams and complete basic equipment cleaning. Flag equipment or quality concerns quickly and collaborate with the Plant Manager, Supervisors, Quality, and Maintenance teams to hit production goals. Follow the schedule, including overtime as needed; adhere to the time and attendance policy. Pitch in with miscellaneous tasks that keep production flowing. Where You'll Work Our state-of-the-art automotive interior soft trim and plastic injection molding facility features molding presses, automated handling systems, robotic equipment, and robust inspection tools. Work is guided by automotive quality systems including IATF 16949 and
ISO 9001.
What You Bring (Required) High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in a fast-paced industrial/production setting. Comfort following written and verbal work instructions. Ability to use measurement tools (calipers, gauges) with strong attention to detail. Self-starter mindset committed to excellence and continuous improvement. Collaborative, team-first approach; reliable, dependable work ethic. Safety- and quality-focused with an efficient work style. What Elevates Your Candidacy (Preferred) 2-3 years in automotive manufacturing or injection molding (or a closely related environment). Familiarity with automated machinery and robotics. Knowledge of ISO and IATF quality requirements. Understanding of plastic materials, molding parameters, and basic machine troubleshooting; ability to read work instructions. Mechanical aptitude and entry-level troubleshooting skills. Experience with soft-trim parts and precision, finesse work. Interest in learning new skills and pursuing growth within the company. Forklift operation ability. Familiarity with automotive PPAP, APQP, or ISO/TS quality requirements. Physical Demands & Work Conditions Stand and walk continuously; bend, reach, and lift regularly; repetitive motions with manual dexterity. Lift up to 50 lbs. Exposure to moderate noise, heat, and moving machinery.
