Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive, small engines and heavy equipment repair, with the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of machinery and vehicles. This role offers an opportunity to work with diverse equipment, including tractors, construction equipment, and automotive systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety. The position requires a proactive approach to maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing tasks. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic assessments on vehicles, small engines and heavy equipment using schematics and diagnostic tools Conduct repairs on vehicles, small engines equipment and heavy equipment. Maintain and repair diesel engines, tractor-trailers, forklifts, excavators, cranes, and other heavy equipment Operate equipment safely during maintenance or repair procedures Conduct vehicle maintenance including tire service, wheel alignments, air brake systems, and electrical diagnostics Use schematics for troubleshooting mechanical or electrical issues Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used Adhere to safety protocols during all maintenance activities Requirements Proven mechanic experience with a strong knowledge of automotive repair and heavy equipment maintenance Proficiency in welding and use of hand tools and power tools Experience working with excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, trailers, HVAC systems, hydraulics, suspension systems, transmissions, and air brake systems Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for diagnostics and repairs Knowledge of diesel engine repair and vehicle maintenance procedures Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical troubleshooting skills Ability to lift heavy components safely during repairs (heavy lifting) Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail Good customer service skills for interacting with clients or team members as needed This position is ideal for a dedicated professional eager to apply their mechanical expertise across diverse machinery types while maintaining high safety standards.

$17.00 - $22.00 per hour
