Trains and mentors personnel in field da collection techniques, hydrologic compution methods, instrumention, and supporting computer applicions, fostering technical development. Directs and reviews complex hydrologic field efforts, including da collection, compution, and analysis while ensuring accuracy and continuity of records. Acts as liaison and advisor to hydrologic organizions, participes in program development, prepares workplans and budgets, and represents USGS meetings and technical workshops. you must possess least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or prive sectors). Specialized experience is defined as demonstred experience: Planning and conducting the compution and collection of da from approximely thirty or more gaging stions between field work and/or da review, determining stage-discharge relions, computing ring tables and mean daily, monthly and annual discharge res from these stions. Acting as a party chief for site installions and making measurements of flood flows under extremely difficult conditions, including knowledge of indirect measurement options post flood events. Collecting da including th required to compute flood flows by the slope-area method, by measurement of flow over dams, by flow through culverts and by flow over embankments. As well as working knowledge or expertise in area velocity discharge records completion. Leading training or discussions for a field office or assisting with programs to move forward field da collection efforts or records finalizion. Awareness of budgeting constraints and methods within the office to help make program decisions and adjust approaches to field efforts.Volunteer Experience:
