Fixture Upgrader Pay:

Shift:

6:00 AM-2:30 PM Start a Career in Skilled Trades with QCR Tech QCR Tech is looking for a motivated, mechanically inclined individual who wants to learn a skilled trade and build a long-term career in automotive tooling and fixture building. Previous fixture-building experience is not required — we'll train the right person. If you enjoy working with your hands, working on cars or equipment, building things, using tools, or figuring out how things work, this could be an excellent opportunity to turn those abilities into a skilled-trades career. What You'll Learn As a Fixture Upgrader, you'll work alongside experienced fixture builders and technicians while learninghow automotive checking fixtures and gauges are built, modified, repaired, and maintained. You'll have the opportunity to develop skills in: Automotive check fixtures and gauges Basic machining Drilling and tapping Precision measurement Reading prints and drawings Fixture assembly and modification Using Bridgeport mills and other shop equipment Working with calipers, micrometers, scales, and other measuring tools Problem solving and mechanical troubleshooting As your skills develop, you'll have opportunities to take on more advanced work and additionalresponsibilities. What You'll Do Cut and prepare aluminum, steel, and other materials Sand, clean, deburr, and finish fixture components Operate band saws, drill presses, Bridgeport mills, and other shop equipment Perform drilling and tapping ssist with fixture modifications and upgrades Disassemble and reassemble fixture components Assist experienced fixture builders with projects Learn to read prints and drawings Learn to use precision measuring equipment Clean and prepare fixtures for customer delivery Maintain a clean and organized work area Learn additional machining and fixture-building skills as your experience grows Who We're Looking For Previous manufacturing experience is helpful, but not required We're looking for someone who: Is mechanically inclined and enjoys working with their hands Is dependable and shows up ready to work Wants to learn and develop new skills Pays attention to detail Can follow instructions and work safely Has basic math and measurement skills Takes pride in doing quality work Works well as part of a team Wants an opportunity to advance within the company Experience with automotive repair, motorcycles, ATVs, machining, woodworking, fabrication, welding, construction, robotics, hand tools, power tools, or other mechanical hobbies is a plus. Recent high school and trade-school graduates are encouraged to apply. Schedule Full-Time | 1st Shift 6:00 AM-2:30 PM Overtime opportunities are available based on workload.

Pay, Reviews & Advancement Starting Pay:

$18-$22/hour, based on experience and demonstrated ability New employees receive a 90-day performance review , with additional performance reviews thereafter.
