Job Summary Join our dynamic automotive team at Preferred CDJR of Muskegon as a Service Advisor, where you'll be the vital link between our valued customers and our skilled technicians. In this energetic role, you will greet customers, assess their vehicle needs, and provide expert guidance on repairs and maintenance. Your enthusiasm and mechanical knowledge will drive customer satisfaction, ensuring each client feels confident and well-informed about their vehicle's care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine sales skills with automotive expertise in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Duties Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs Prepare detailed estimates using automotive estimating software, including collision repair, transmission work, oil changes, brake repair, tire service, suspension, shocks & struts, air brake systems, alignment, diesel engine repair, and other services Communicate clearly with clients about recommended repairs and maintenance options while upselling additional services to enhance vehicle performance and safety Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of service orders Manage service writing tasks accurately, including documenting vehicle issues, repairs performed, and parts used Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently while maintaining accurate records Keep clients informed throughout the service process and follow up post-service to ensure satisfaction Skills Proven experience as a Service Advisor or in auto service management within a dealership or independent shop setting Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on mechanic experience preferred Proficiency with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, transmissions, oil changes, auto body repair, air brake systems, wheel alignments, suspension components, tire services, shocks & struts, brake systems, diesel engines, and other automotive repairs Ability to upsell effectively while maintaining integrity and customer trust Familiarity with dealership operations and service writing procedures Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to drive company vehicles as needed This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to leverage their automotive expertise while delivering exceptional customer experiences. Pay:
$51,119.05 - $61,562.72 per year
