In this energetic role, you will diagnose, repair, and service a wide range of vehicles, ensuring safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills will be vital in delivering top-tier automotive service, whether working on light vehicles or heavy equipment. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components. Execute routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance. Repair and replace automotive components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized mechanical systems repair techniques. Work with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and auto electrical systems to calibrate and troubleshoot modern vehicle features. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to perform precise repairs on GM vehicles or other makes with similar specifications. Maintain detailed service records and communicate clearly with customers about repair needs and timelines to enhance customer service experience. Qualifications Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with dealership experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and powertrain components. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics tools and schematics for accurate troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, auto electrical systems, auto body repair, and auto estimating is highly desirable. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy equipment mechanics tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of oil changes, tire service including alignment procedures, shocks & struts replacement, and general vehicle maintenance. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and professionalism. Relevant certifications such as ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) or equivalent are a plus; dealership or heavy equipment mechanics background is advantageous.
