A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description

Position Summary:
Provide oversight to shelter guests and complete necessary paperwork, attend to the immediate needs of the guests, and encourage safe and harmonious shelter atmosphere.
Essential Responsibilities:
Assist with menu planning.

Supervise common areas, dorms, lounges, clothing closet, and laundry room,De-escalate conflict and manage crises as necessary, excellent verbal and written communicationPerform daily resident/security check on guests, rooms, and exterior of buildingGeneral Office duties, answering the phone, filing, typing, record keeping, recording shift summaryAttend all trainings and staff meetings as directedCleaning and janitorial work as required including laundry as neededKeep dryer vents clear of dust and lintAssist deep cleaning of the kitchenFloor upkeep, including dining room, office, laundry roomIn absence of cook, perform kitchen dutiesMust remain on duty until replacement arrivesPerform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma / GED, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
Maintain client confidentiality
Computer Skills:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365Working knowledge of
TEAMS and SharePointCertificates and Licenses:
