Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and automotive systems. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting our operations across various sectors including heavy and light duty wreckers, flatbeds, and semi trailer. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using schematics, electrical testing, and mechanical inspections to identify issues with heavy equipment, and automotive systems. Conduct repairs and maintenance on diesel engines, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, air brakes, HVAC systems, and other critical components. Fabricate parts or modifications using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to meet specific repair needs. Operate heavy machinery such as heavy trucks, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and other industrial equipment safely and efficiently. Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform automotive diagnostics to resolve complex mechanical or electronic failures. Maintain detailed service records including inspections, repairs performed, parts used, and recommendations for future maintenance. Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance. Skills Proven experience working as a mechanic in dealership or industrial settings with strong familiarity of heavy equipment operation. Extensive knowledge of fabrication techniques including welding and soldering. Proficiency in reading schematics and electrical diagrams for troubleshooting complex systems. Hands-on experience with heavy and light duty tow trucks, forklifts, tractor-trailers, HVAC systems, and farm machinery. Skilled in automotive repair including brake repair, suspension adjustments, air brake systems, and tire service. Ability to use a variety of hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment and maintenance devices safely. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose issues quickly and accurately. Capable of heavy lifting and performing physically demanding tasks while maintaining safety standards. Customer service orientation with clear communication skills for explaining repairs or maintenance needs to clients or team members.
