Maintenance Technician Maple River - Mapleton, MN Palmer Bus Service is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Mapleton. This is a great opportunity for someone with basic mechanical experience who enjoys hands-on work and wants to build their skills working on school buses and other fleet vehicles. What You'll Do You'll work alongside our mechanics to keep our fleet safe, reliable, and ready for the road.

Responsibilities include:

Perform routine preventative maintenance on school buses and company vehicles Replace oil, fuel, air, and cabin filters Lubricate vehicle components and wheel bearings Perform tire rotations and check tire pressure Inspect vehicles for leaks and other maintenance concerns Assist mechanics with repairs and maintenance Help identify and report service issues Keep the shop, tools, and equipment clean and organized Communicate with the mechanic regarding vehicle repairs and maintenance Safely test drive vehicles when necessary Perform other maintenance duties as assigned What We're Looking For Basic mechanical or vehicle maintenance knowledge through education or work experience Dependable and able to follow directions Strong attention to detail Ability to work safely with tools and equipment Basic ability to identify vehicle service and maintenance needs Ability to work independently as well as with a team Valid Minnesota driver's license CDL is preferred but not required to apply Palmer Bus Service will provide training and support to help qualified employees obtain their CDL Physical Requirements This is a hands-on maintenance position.

You should be comfortable with:

Working indoors in a shop environment Working inside and around buses and other vehicles Using tools and shop equipment Wearing required safety equipment and a company uniform Occasionally working on vehicles outside or on the road Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds Why Palmer Bus Service?
