Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and experienced Truck Mechanic to maintain and repair our company fleet. This position is responsible for keeping trucks, trailers, and related equipment safe, reliable, and ready for daily operations. The ideal candidate is mechanically skilled, safety-focused, able to troubleshoot problems efficiently, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced construction environment. Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on dump trucks, semi-trucks, pickups, trailers, and other company vehicles
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, brake, steering, suspension, and drivetrain issues
• Perform oil changes, lubrication, filter changes, brake service, and other preventative maintenance
• Inspect and repair air brake systems
• Diagnose check-engine lights and other vehicle warning systems
• Perform DOT-related inspections and make necessary repairs
• Troubleshoot starting, charging, lighting, wiring, and electrical issues
• Repair and maintain truck and trailer components
• Complete preventative maintenance according to company schedules
• Respond to occasional breakdowns and assist with field repairs
• Maintain accurate service and repair records
• Keep the shop, tools, and work areas clean and organized
• Identify potential safety or maintenance problems before equipment is returned to service
• Follow company safety policies and procedures
• Assist with other shop and maintenance duties as needed Qualifications
• Previous experience as a truck, diesel, fleet, or heavy-duty mechanic preferred
• Knowledge of diesel engines and heavy truck systems
• Experience with air brakes, electrical systems, hydraulics, and preventative maintenance
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems
• Ability to safely operate shop tools and equipment
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
• CDL is a plus, but not required unless needed for assigned duties
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to bend, kneel, climb, crawl, and work underneath vehicles and equipment
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods

Pay:
