If you're an experienced technician who takes pride in quality workmanship, accurate diagnostics, and fixing vehicles correctly the first time, we'd like to meet you. We're looking for a professional who enjoys solving difficult problems, values honesty, and wants to be part of a team that takes pride in its work. We're seeking a technician with at least 3 years of professional automotive repair experience who is comfortable diagnosing and repairing a wide variety of domestic and import vehicles. ASE certifications are preferred but not required—we value skill, experience, craftsmanship, and a strong work ethic above all else.

What You'll Do As an Automotive Technician, you'll diagnose, inspect, and repair a wide variety of vehicle systems, including: Diagnose check engine lights and all dashboard warning lights Diagnose driveability, electrical, and mechanical issues Perform complete vehicle inspections Brake repair and replacement Steering and suspension repairs Leak diagnosis and repair Engine diagnostics and major engine repair Timing belt and timing chain replacement Cooling system repairs Tire mounting, balancing, and repair Oil changes and factory scheduled maintenance Exhaust system repairs Perform accurate diagnostics using modern scan tools and testing equipment Recommend repairs with honesty and professionalism Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Qualifications Minimum 3 years of professional automotive technician experience Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Experience performing major mechanical repairs Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship ASE Certifications preferred, but not required Valid driver's license Positive attitude and dependable work ethic Team-oriented with excellent communication skills Why Technicians Choose John's Auto Shop/ TSI Transmission Shop Hourly pay plus performance bonuses Earn $70,000-$120,000+ per year based on experience, productivity, and certifications Air-conditioned shop — stay comfortable even during the hottest summer days No weekends — Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM Industry-leading diagnostic equipment and tools Busy shop with consistent work year-round Family-owned and operated Paid vacation Health insurance 401(k) with company match Positive, respectful team environment Opportunities for continued professional growth
