Mungenast Lexus of St Louis is hiring a Lube Technician. The Lube Tech is responsible for lubricating the moving parts of vehicles as well as inspecting vehicle fluid levels and replacing or replenishing them as necessary.
Other duties include:
Performing work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards. Draining oil from crankcase and refilling with required amount of oil. Replacing oil and air filters. Checking tire pressure and adding air if needed. Lubricating moving parts with specified lubricants. Communicating with parts department to obtain needed parts. Reporting machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor. Documenting all work performed on the repair order. Participating in manufacturer-sponsored training programs as assigned by service manager. Ensuring that customers' cars are kept clean. Notifying service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle. Maintaining and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Understanding, keeping abreast of, and complying with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc. Reporting any safety issues immediately to management. Maintaining a clean and professional work environment. Maintaining a safe work environment. Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record. Must have basic computer knowledge and typing skills. This position requires pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying of up to 50 lbs. as well as walking and frequent movement (i.e. bending, lifting, reaching, squatting, and getting into and out of vehicles). Courteous, effective, and professional communication with customers and staff is required. Pay is $25 per hour. This job is scheduled on a 4-day work week. Some Saturdays are required.
