Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic automotive service team as a General Service Technician / Mechanic, where your expertise will drive vehicle performance and customer satisfaction! In this energetic role, you'll perform essential maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on a variety of vehicles, ensuring safety and reliability. Whether working on diesel engines, transmissions, suspension systems, or electrical components, your mechanical skills will keep our customers moving confidently. Duties Conduct routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and alignments to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and repair mechanical issues across various systems including engines, transmissions, suspension, brakes, and electrical systems using schematics and diagnostic tools. Perform advanced repairs on diesel engines, powertrains, auto body components, and heavy equipment as needed. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive diagnostic software to identify problems accurately and execute repairs efficiently. Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical systems effectively. Assist in vehicle inspections for safety compliance and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance to customers. Maintain detailed service records and communicate repair findings clearly to team members and customers. Requirements Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes, powertrain components, shocks & struts, and auto electrical systems. Skilled in using diagnostic tools for automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately for complex repairs such as transmissions or suspension systems. Experience working with GM vehicles or heavy equipment mechanics is a plus. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, brake repairs, and auto body repairs. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients. Valid certification or training in diesel mechanics or automotive electrical systems is advantageous. Pay:
$16.00 - $17.50 per hour
