Certified Diagnostic Technician with Missouri State inspector Safety and Emission License Overview We are seeking a skilled, talented, hard working and dedicated Automotive Diagnostic Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in automotive repair, diagnostics, and maintenance, with experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment where technical expertise and customer service excellence are highly valued. Diagnostic candidates should have proficiency with schematics and automotive electrical systems. The position involves performing comprehensive repairs and maintenance on vehicles, ensuring safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction. All repairs performed in-house including software programming. Duties Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive issues using advanced diagnostic tools and schematics Perform vehicle maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, and fluid services Repair and service power train components, transmissions, engines, and electrical systems Conduct wheel alignments to ensure vehicle safety and performance Utilize hand tools, power tools, and other specialized automotive repair tools effectively Inspect vehicles for mechanical problems and recommend appropriate repairs or services Perform vehicle inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems Maintain detailed records of repairs performed using auto estimating software Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications and safety standards Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly to advisors Requirements Proven experience as a diagnostic automotive technician, with service shop background Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, power train components, transmissions Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic scanners Excellent mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently Service technician experience with a focus on automotive repair and maintenance tasks Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is preferred; relevant certifications (ASE or manufacturer-specific) are advantageous Missouri State Safety and Emission Inspector This position offers an engaging work environment for skilled automotive professionals committed to quality workmanship and outstanding customer service.
