Alternative Automotive is an established independent repair shop in Winfield, Missouri, and we're looking for one experienced technician to join our team. We are not looking for an apprentice or someone brand new to the industry. We need someone who already has solid automotive repair experience and can step into a productive shop environment. You should be able to come to work, diagnose and repair vehicles, and make money without having to fight the shop around you. Who We're Looking For This position is best suited for an experienced B-level, B+ level, or higher automotive technician . You should be comfortable performing work such as: Brakes Steering and suspension Cooling systems Starting and charging systems Engine repairs Maintenance services Check-engine-light diagnosis Electrical diagnosis Drivability concerns Scan-tool testing General mechanical diagnosis and repair You do not have to know everything. We are more interested in finding someone with a solid mechanical foundation, good diagnostic thinking, a willingness to learn, and pride in doing the job correctly. ASE certifications are a plus, but experience and ability matter more to us than a wall full of certificates.
