Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on vehicles using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical systems. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to complete repairs efficiently. Service and repair GM vehicles and diesel engines, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Perform wheel alignments and ADAS calibrations to ensure optimal vehicle performance and safety features. Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical problems. Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating tasks, and communicate repair findings clearly to customers. Skills Proven dealership experience or service technician experience with a strong mechanical background. Expertise in automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and diesel engine repair. Familiarity with schematics interpretation, ADAS calibration procedures, and vehicle maintenance protocols. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service equipment. Solid understanding of automotive electrical systems, alignment procedures, and auto estimating processes. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
