Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Mechanic to join our dynamic service team. In this role, you will perform comprehensive vehicle repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help deliver exceptional service to our customers, keeping their vehicles in top condition. Responsibilities Conduct thorough diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Perform repairs on various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspension, brakes, steering, shocks & struts, and powertrain components. Repair and replace automotive electrical systems, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes, and other specialized systems. Carry out routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical knowledge to complete repairs efficiently and safely. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems on a wide range of vehicles including GM models and heavy equipment. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair needs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Qualifications Proven experience working as an automotive mechanic in a dealership or automotive repair industry setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in diesel engine repair, transmissions, automotive suspension systems, and mechanical systems repair. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics software and schematics for precise troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance procedures including oil changes, brake repair, wheel alignment, shocks & struts replacement, and tire service. Knowledge of automotive electrical systems including ADAS technology is highly desirable. Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools efficiently. Dealership experience or familiarity with auto estimating processes is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
