Mechanic Cone Health United States, North Carolina, Burlington Aug 04, 2026 The Mechanic assists with corrective requests and preventive maintenance to resolve and anticipate building systems problems. Working under close supervision, this role helps to minimize operational disruptions in the hospital and delivers service in a timely manner. The schedule for this position is Sat & Sun Nights / 2 other shifts during week. This is a 40 hour a week role.
Essential Job Function:
Assists with the testing and repairing of equipment and orders replacement parts as needed to deliver timely service. Helps to maintain a clean and safe work area in order to minimize risks and service disruptions. Prepares documentation of work orders, reports, and estimates for management review in line with compliance guidelines. Communicates effectively with internal and external teams to make repairs and deliver correct status updates. Handles equipment inspection rounds to ensure that proper tools and equipment are being utilized to eliminate risk to staff. Coordinates the leveling, aligning, and installing of industrial machinery on foundations or base plates for servicing. Provides general painting, refinishing, and repairs of walls, ceilings, and floors. Performs other duties as assigned.

Valid Driver's License (if driving a Cone Health vehicle, must have 5 years of driving experience and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must be approved by Risk Management).
