What You'll Do
Perform DOT maintenance on road tractors and trailers Maintain mobile equipment, cranes, bearings, power transmission, hydraulics/pneumatics, fluid pumping systems and welding principles/rigging Ensure daily preventative maintenance is performed on vehicles and mobile equipment, which may include fueling, cleaning, and checking/adding fluids as needed Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs when needed Services machinery and mechanical equipment by completing repairs on engines, hydraulics systems, mobile and stationary equipment Repair engine failures, mechanical and electrical system malfunctions, body repair and replacing parts and components Maintains specified records of work performed, details of repairs, and material usage Possess proficient skills utilizing hand tools, power tools and precision tools for performing all facets of the repair and maintenance process Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture Maintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows safety regulations Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor What You'll Need
Minimum of 2 years of heavy equipment maintenance mechanic experience Experience with basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, engines, mobile equipment, and vehicles (number of years up to location preference) Experience with a wide variety of tools related to mechanics/hydraulics Experience with hydraulics/pneumatics, wiring, and working on heavy equipment Welding, cutting and fabrication preferred Proficient in reading and understand technical documents, diagrams, and service manuals Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Possess specific fundamental knowledge of bearings, power transmission equipment, electrical, hydraulics/pneumatics, lubrication, fluid pumping systems, and heat transfer Must be able to stand for significant lengths of time in an industrial environment with exposure to all elements of weather Your Education
