Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components. Conduct routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and brake repairs to ensure optimal performance. Work with heavy equipment mechanics and diesel mechanics on specialized repairs involving diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicles. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service technology to execute repairs efficiently and safely. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems effectively. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring vehicle safety standards are met or exceeded. Skills Proven dealership experience with a solid understanding of automotive repair procedures. Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and vehicle diagnostics. Expertise in diesel engine repair, transmission repair, suspension systems (including shocks & struts), and brake systems. Familiarity with automotive schematics, oil change procedures, wheel alignment techniques, and tire service. Mechanical knowledge of powertrain components and mechanical systems repair for various vehicle makes including GM vehicles. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair machinery safely and effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills with experience working in the automotive repair industry; ability to read technical manuals accurately. Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and maintenance needs.
