Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and experienced Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair our company vehicles and equipment. This position is responsible for keeping our fleet safe, reliable, and ready for daily operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with diesel and gasoline vehicles, commercial trucks, trailers, and industrial equipment and be comfortable troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical problems. Primary Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on company vehicles and equipment. Diagnose and repair diesel and gasoline engines. Service and repair commercial trucks, roll-off trucks, box trucks, pickups,trailers, and other fleet equipment. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, air, and brake system problems. Perform brake repairs, including air and hydraulic brake systems. Repair and maintain suspension, steering, drivetrain, cooling, and exhaust systems. Troubleshoot starting, charging, lighting, wiring, and other electrical issues. Inspect and repair trailer brakes, bearings, hubs, suspension, lighting, wiring, and related components. Perform maintenance and minor repairs on forklifts, pumps, pressure washers, and other company equipment as needed. Perform oil changes, filter changes, lubrication, fluid checks, and scheduled preventive maintenance. Inspect vehicles and equipment for safety concerns and identify repairs before failures occur. Assist with emergency or breakdown repairs when necessary. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed. Keep the shop, tools, parts, and work areas clean and organized. Communicate needed parts and repair recommendations to management. Follow company safety procedures and properly use PPE. Perform other maintenance and mechanical duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience as a heavy-duty, or equipment mechanic preferred. Knowledge of diesel and gasoline engines. Experience with commercial truck and trailer maintenance preferred. Working knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, air brake, and mechanical systems. Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems rather than simply replace parts. Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, jacks, lifts, and other shop equipment. Ability to read parts diagrams, service information, and equipment manuals. Must have a valid driver's license. Must be dependable and able to work independently. Must be able to safely lift and handle parts, tools, and equipment associated with mechanical repair work. Physical Requirements This position requires frequent standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, reaching, and working underneath vehicles and equipment. The employee must be able to safely lift and move parts and equipment associated with normal repair and maintenance activities. Work may be performed indoors and outdoors and may involve exposure to heat, cold, grease, oil, dirt, noise, and normal shop conditions. Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following is a plus: Kenworth, Ford, International, Chevrolet/GMC, or similar commercial vehicles Roll-off equipment Hydraulic systems Air brake systems Commercial trailers Forklifts Backhoes Skid Steers Pumps and industrial equipment Welding and fabrication Electrical troubleshooting DOT vehicle inspection and maintenance requirements What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is dependable, safety-conscious, mechanically skilled, and willing to troubleshoot problems from start to finish. Pay:

$20.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
